Abstract

The development of training models requires interesting video media to improve the quality of athletes and coaches. In fact, the Golden Silat Club in Blitar City does not have a variety of video-based training models, when routine training is carried out it is still monotonous which the exercise researchers find less interesting. Through the video media developed, it is packaged in a form and made as attractive as possible by displaying material in the form of videos of variations on parry techniques, straight punches and straight kicks. The purpose of this research is to improve skills and efficiency properly and correctly in carrying out movements, as well as to develop video variations of training models for parry techniques, straight punches and straight kicks of pencak silat for Golden Silat club athletes in Blitar City. The research method used is quantitative descriptive and uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with reference to the Lee and Owens research model. The research subjects used consisted of 30 athletes from the Golden Silat Club of Blitar City. The results of the research data obtained consisted of expert validation trials, 86.11% obtained from pencak silat training experts, 93.47% obtained from media experts, 86.25% obtained from pencak silat experts, and 85.15% obtained from trials try a large group with a sample of 30 martial arts athletes. Based on the data obtained, it was concluded that the video-based media model for pencak silat training for pencak silat athletes at the Golden Silat Club in Blitar City was categorized as good and suitable for use without revision.
