Aquaponics Edu-Agropreneur School Canteen Contextual Entrepreneurship SMP SriwedariAbstract
This Community Service Program aims to integrate an aquaponics unit as an upstream production site and an inactive school canteen as a downstream education hub into an Edu-Agropreneur Unit Model at SMP Sriwedari, Malang City. The partner's baseline condition revealed sub-optimal aquaponics utilization (less than 2 times per month), an unused school canteen, and low student engagement in hands-on entrepreneurial simulations. The implementation method comprised socialization, training, drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Precision Nutrition and Post-Harvesting, and Project-Based Learning (PBL) assistance. Program outcomes include 1 Edu-Agropreneur Model document and Operational SOPs, the reactivation of the school canteen as an internal simulation storefront, improved crop quality and harvest consistency (routine every 4 weeks with an average weight of approximately 150 grams per bundle), and increased active student participation to at least 70 percent (21 out of 30 students). This initiative successfully transformed a passive aquaponics setup into a structured and sustainable contextual entrepreneurship learning ecosystem.
